UAB Honors Student-Athletes with Annual Green & Golden Globes

BIRMINGHAM – Led by the UAB Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the Blazers held their fourth annual Green & Golden Globes Awards on Thursday night.
Done virtually through the @uabsaac Twitter and Instagram accounts, the Green & Golden Globes honored UAB's athletic achievements for the spring 2019, fall 2019 and winter 2020 seasons. Winners were voted on by the student-athletes, coaches and UAB administrators.
Highlighting the awards were Mr. and Ms. Blaze, which are given to UAB's top athlete. Those honors were awarded to Tyler Tolbert of baseball and Rachael Childress of women's basketball. Rifle won Team of the Year, while Lori Goodwin of rifle and Bill Clark of football were honored as Co-Coaches of the Year.
