Women's Soccer Finishes Fourth in Helper Helper Community Service

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB women's soccer team finished fourth in the 2020 NCAA Team Works Helper Helper Community Service Competition.
UAB is the only Conference USA school to rank in the top 10.
Since May of last year, the Blazers have logged 557 community service hours from 100 percent of the squad. They volunteered at 40 events serving 18 different organizations.
The Blazers participated in events such as wagon washing for Children's of Alabama, Red Nose Ball for Smile-A-Mile, Love for Literacy Gala for Better Basics, Inc. and Back to School Beautification and Hands on Birmingham, MLK Day of Service for United Way of Birmingham.
Additionally, the players were UAB Hospital research volunteers, wheelchair soccer volunteers with the Lakeshore Foundation, helped rebuild a house with Habitat for Humanity, worked with Feed My Starving Children and the Ronald McDonald House.
