Blazers Gear Up for Friday Match with North Alabama

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team faces off against North Alabama on Friday at 1 p.m. at the UAB Campus Courts in a match previously scheduled for Feb. 7.
The Blazers (4-7, 0-2 C-USA) look to continue a hot streak after winning four of their last five matches, with wins coming against Alabama A&M, Jackson State and Mississippi Valley State.
North Alabama (3-12, 0-0 ASUN) has bounced back after a rough start to the season, winning two of its last three matches against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Alabama State.
Michal Lusovsky and Nikola Puric pace the Green and Gold in singles play, with each having recorded four wins on the season. Lusovsky's victories came on courts 1 and 2, while Puric's wins came in the No. 1, 2 and 3 positions.
Nikolai Manchev and Tom el Safadi, in addition to Lusovsky and doubles partner Roman Postolka, have won three doubles matches per pair to lead the way for the Blazers.
Following Friday's match, UAB is scheduled to return to the courts on March 27 for a match at Samford.
