UAB Falls to Middle Tennessee, 4-0

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team fell on the road to nationally-ranked No. 31 Middle Tennessee on Friday afternoon in Murfreesboro, Tenn.Β
UAB (0-6, 0-2 C-USA) dropped the doubles matches on courts 1 and 2, giving the advantage to the Blue Raiders (12-4, 1-0 C-USA) going into singles play.Β
Middle Tennessee claimed wins on courts 1, 5 and 6 to clinch the match. On court 1, Roman Postolka fell to Tom Moonen, 6-3, 6-0, before Blue Rader Francisco Rocha and overcame freshman Nikola Puric, 6-0, 6-3. Middle Tennessee clinched its first conference win of the season as Patrick KristensenΒ defeated Fernando Vargas.Β
UAB returns to the courts on Saturday to host in-state opponent Alabama A&M with first serve scheduled for noon from George Ward Park.Β
