No. 21 UAB Travels to Arkansas for the Mid-Winter Invitational

BIRMINGHAM-After finishing third at the Wildcat Classic, the No. 21 ranked UAB bowling team is on the road this weekend as it travels to Jonesboro, Ark. for the Mid-Winter Invitational hosted by Arkansas State.
The tournament will follow the format of five Baker games on Friday, five Traditional games on Saturday and two best-of-seven bracket-round match on Sunday.
UAB is one of 12 ranked teams in the field this weekend, including No. 1 McKendree, No. 2 Sam Houston, No. 3 Nebraska, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 5 Arkansas State, No. 7 Stephen F. Austin State and No. 8 Youngstown State.
Last season at the Mid-Winter Invitational, the Blazers had a weekend that many will not forget. Not only did UAB start the first day of competition 5-0, the Blazers beat four top-10 teams including No. 2 Nebraska for the first time in program history. UAB will look to continue the streak this weekend.
Competing for UAB this weekend in the Mid-Winter Invitational will be Taylor Russell, Rachel Strogin, Annie Hurley, Elise London, Samantha Johnson, Cayla Davidson, Jamie Krasnigor, Katie Hurley, and Morgan Mullinax.
