UAB Picked to Finish Seventh in Conference USA 2020-2021 Preseason Poll

DALLAS, Texas – The UAB women's basketball team has been picked to finish seventh in Conference USA for the 2020-2021 season, the league office announced on Wednesday morning.
UAB is coming off a 20-11 season, where it went 12-6 in C-USA play. The team graduated a 2020 class made up of six seniors who won a combined 88 games, a program record.
This year's squad is underclassmen heavy, making up nine of the team's 15 student-athletes.
Zakyia Weathersby, who appeared in 28 games in 2019, is the team's lone senior.
The Blazers finished last season with its third consecutive 20-win season, a program first.
UAB is hoping to continue that success entering the 2020 season, in Randy Norton's eighth season at the helm.
The team will open up the season at Bartow Arena on Nov. 25 against Mississippi Valley.
