212 Student-Athletes Named to C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll

BIRMINGHAM – A total of 212 UAB student-athletes have been named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor, the league announced on Thursday.
A total of 2,775 student-athletes from 14 of the C-USA member institutions have earned recognition for the 2018-19 year. Student-athletes are placed on the honor roll if they maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
"UAB strives for excellence on and off the field, and we are so proud of our student-athletes for their academic success year in and year out," UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram said. "To have 212 Blazers achieve this Commissioner's Honor Roll truly embodies one of our three core values which is graduating with honors."
Baseball led the way for the Blazers with 26 student-athletes earning the distinction. Football finished second with 23 players on the list, while women's soccer had 21.
Student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better will also receive the Commissioner's Academic Medal. Those recipients will be released on Friday.
