ATLANTA – The UAB beach volleyball team defeated CCSA opponent UNC Wilmington 3-2 and then fell to Arizona State 4-1 on the final day of action at the Diggin' Duals hosted by Georgia State.
Jaelyn Keene and Tressa Buckland capped a perfect weekend on court one with two additional victories over the Seahawks and Sun Devils. They have now won six straight matches and own a team-best 13-7 overall record, while going 7-2 as partners.
In the process, Buckland moved into sole possession of third place on UAB's career wins list with 46 victories. She is approaching the overall record for career wins which is 50 set by Sara Rishell from 2013-2016.

Along with Keene and Buckland, Kenley Adams and SalliAnne Napolitano notched a victory on court three over UNCW, as did Jenna Gathright and Brooke Stansel on court five. Adams and Napolitano won in straight sets, while Gathright and Stansel were victorious in three sets.
The Blazers now head West to play in a tournament hosted by Grand Canyon. Along with playing GCU, UAB will face No. 7 Cal Poly, Utah, Mt. San Antonio College and Long Beach City College.
