Men’s Golf in 12th After 36 Holes at The Hayt

PONTE BERDA BEACH, Fla. – The UAB men's golf team sits in 12th place after the opening two rounds of The Hayt, hosted by the University of North Florida at Sawgrass Country Club.
William Walker III led the way for UAB as he sits tied for 15th at +1 overall. Walker III shot a one-under 71 in the opening round and a two-over 74 in the second round and is seven shots off the lead heading into the final round.
John Snoddy (74-72 = +2) is tied for 21st as he's second on the team heading into Sunday's final round.
In a field consisting of nine teams ranked inside the top 50, UAB is within eight strokes of eighth place, and 21 shots away from the lead.
