BIRMINGHAM - Looking to build upon its best season in school history, the UAB football team will culminate its spring season with the Pepsi Spring Game on Saturday, April 6 at Legion Field. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
Tickets to the Pepsi Spring Game are $5 and can be purchased by clicking here or calling 205-975-UAB1. Parking lots open at 9 a.m., followed by gates to Legion Field opening at 11:30 a.m., after the Blazer Walk at 11 a.m. Tickets to the game are general admission seating.
"We're excited to get the spring season underway, and to once again give Birmingham a look at the 2019 Blazers," head coach Bill Clark said. "This is a big spring for our program having graduated so many players from last year's team, and we are eager to see our kids compete for playing time."
Coming off an 11-3 season in which the Blazers were crowned Conference USA and Boca Raton Bowl champions, UAB returns nine total starters, making this spring vitally important for the youthful Blazers as there are vacated starting positions to compete for.
Redshirt sophomore Tyler Johnston III enters spring ball as the incumbent starter at quarterback, while he, junior running back Spencer Brown, senior lineman Lee Dufour and junior tight end Hayden Pittman return as starters from last year's team on offense.
Defensively, Kris Moll had a breakout year and enters his junior season as one of five returning starters on defense, along with redshirt seniors Fitzgerald Mofor at linebacker and Garrett Marino and defensive line, junior lockdown cornerback Brontae Harris and junior defensive back Dy'Jonn Turner.

The 2019 home schedule features six games, beginning with Alabama State on Thursday, Aug. 29. The five other home games include South Alabama (Sept. 21), Rice (Oct. 5), Old Dominion (Oct. 19), UTEP (Nov. 16) and Louisiana Tech (Nov. 23).
