Audria Wood Earns C-USA Fall Spirit of Service Award

DALLAS – Conference USA announced the 14 student-athletes receiving the C-USA Fall Spirit of Service Award today. The award honors the league's student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with today's honorees representing fall sports: men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
UAB women's soccer defender Audria Wood has earned the award for the fall season. Since the fall of 2017, Wood has donated 115 hours serving the Birmingham community including UAB Hospital, the Lakeshore Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.
Wood was named All-C-USA Third Team this past season, helping the Blazers record seven shutouts. A two-time C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient, she has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in biology and public health.
Although the women's soccer season has concluded, the 2019-20 Gold Card for $65 is still available. The Gold Card is an exclusive offer that grants you admission into all UAB men's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, softball and baseball events for the upcoming academic year.
