Men’s Tennis Heads to Auburn for ITA Regionals

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's tennis team travels to Auburn, Ala. for the ITA Regionals beginning Thursday.
"We're excited to travel to Auburn for Regionals," head coach Derek Tarr said. "It's a great event and we hope to play well."
UAB will send four players to the event, with senior Tom el Safadi being the only upperclassman set to compete. Sophomores Daniel Janko, Roman Postolka and Michal Lusovsky are also making the short trip south.
In addition to the Blazers, the event will host Alabama, Auburn, Jacksonville State, Louisiana, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Troy and Tulane.
Following Regionals, UAB will be back on the courts Nov. 1-3 at the Country Club of Birmingham Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Alabama.
