BIRMINGHAM β Head coach Brian Shoop announced UAB baseball's 2019 schedule, featuring 31 home games with 17 games at Regions Field. Β

Opening weekend is set for Feb. 15-17 when the Blazers welcome SIU-Edwardsville to Regions Field. UAB then treks to the first of its four Southeastern Conference opponents with a mid-week matchup at Mississippi State on Feb. 20.

The Blazers return to Regions Field for a four-game stand, beginning with a weekend series against Holy Cross Feb. 22-24, before wrapping up the stint with Jacksonville State on Feb. 26.

UAB hits the road for a game at Alabama State on Feb. 27, but returns to Birmingham for its final non-conference home series against Radford March 1-3 at Regions Field.

From there UAB begins a four game swing against SEC opponents beginning at Alabama on March 5 and then closes with a three-game series at Ole Miss March 8-10. The Blazers come back to Regions Field to face Troy on March 12.

Conference USA plays then begins March 10-12 at WKU, before the Blazers return to Birmingham to begin a six-game home stand starting with Auburn on March 19 at Regions Field. The stand continues the following night as UAB takes on Alabama A&M on March 20 in its first game at Young Memorial Field, followed by a return to Regions Field as Florida Atlantic comes to town March 22-24. Samford closes the home swing on March 26 at Regions Field.

UAB returns to the road March 29-31 at Louisiana Tech, followed by a rematch with Samford on April 2 in Homewood. Play picks back up at Young Memorial Field on April 5-7 as Old Dominion comes to town.

The Blazers will face another a four-game road swing, beginning April 9 with a rematch with the Trojans in Troy followed by another league series at Middle Tennessee on April 12-14.

A weekday matchup with Alabama on April 16 at Regions Field begins an eight game homestand before conference play continues April 18-20 at Young Memorial against UTSA. The Blazers take a week off for final exams before Marshall comes to Young Memorial Field April 26-28 with the homestand closing May 1 against Alabama State.

UAB travels to the Sunshine State May 3-5 for a three-game series at FIU in Miami. The Blazers remain on the road for another game on May 7 at Auburn.

The final homestand of the season is set for May 10-12 as the Blazers welcome Charlotte for a series that has been relocated to Lawson State Community College.

The Blazers close the season on the road, beginning on May 14 at Jacksonville State and ending in Hattiesburg, Miss., for the final weekend of C-USA play at Southern Miss.
