Blazers Open Season at Memphis

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB rifle team opens its 2018-19 season when it competes at Memphis on Saturday. Shooting begins at 8 a.m.
The Blazers are slated to compete against UT Martin, Memphis and Jacksonville State.
"This team has been worked very hard and I feel confident that they are ready for the first match of the season," head coach Lori Goodwin said. "I am looking forward to this season and the group of shooters we are have. We return a lot of leadership, but I am excited to see our freshmen compete too."
UAB returns nine competitors from a team that finished fourth at the 2018 SoCon Championships a season ago. Lilly Vonderau highlights the returners as she finished 15th overall in the tournament after a final score 573.
Following the weekend in Memphis, UAB returns to action Saturday, Sept. 29 in Spartanburg, S.C., when it competes at Memphis.
