Women's Basketball Announce Conference Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Looking to defend its 2018 regular season Conference USA Title, the UAB women's basketball team has released its 2018-19 league schedule.
The 16-game Conference USA slate features eight games inside Bartow Arena and culminates with the C-USA Tournament at the end of the regular season.
"Conference USA is an outstanding league that has tremendous players and some of the best coaches in the country from top to bottom," Norton said. "There are no nights off and we have to be ready to play every time we take the floor."
UAB begins league play on the road as the Blazers head south for the Florida swing beginning Jan. 3 at Florida Atlantic and Jan. 5 at FIU.
Jan. 17 marks the beginning of four consecutive games against teams from Texas as UAB is at UTEP on Jan. 17 and at UTSA on Jan. 19. North Texas then comes to Birmingham on Jan. 24 followed by Rice on Jan. 26.
The Blazers head back on the road for a three-game trip beginning in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Feb. 2 with a date against the Blue Raiders. UAB then plays at Old Dominion on Feb. 7 before closing the trip on Feb. 9 at Charlotte.
After the road stint, UAB returns to the friendly confines of Bartow Arena for a four-game homestand as Marshall comes to town on Feb. 14. WKU treks to Birmingham on Feb. 16, before a rematch against Middle Tennessee awaits on Feb. 23. UTEP closes the stand on March 2.
The Green and Gold is back on the road for the final game of the regular season at Louisiana Tech on March 7.
The Conference USA Tournament returns to Frisco, Texas, upon conclusion of the regular season. The tournament is set for March 13-16 at The Star.
