UAB to Play Birmingham Barons at Regions Field

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB baseball team will have an unfamiliar feeling on Tuesday night when it plays the Birmingham Barons on Tuesday night. First pitch between the two squads is slated for 6 p.m.
The scrimmage continues a tradition for the Barons as they play a local Birmingham school in a scrimmage before starting their regular season. This is the first time that UAB has been selected for the game.
The Barons, the Double A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Chicago White Sox, begin their season on Thursday April 5 at 5:15 p.m. CT in Chattanooga with a five game series against the Lookouts.
UAB returns to regular season play on Wednesday night when it welcomes Alabama A&M to Young Memorial Field. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are available online or by phone at (205 975-UAB1). Fans can purchase tickets at the Bartow Arena Ticket Office from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. or at the Regions Field Ticket Office beginning at 3.
