Blazers Complete Round One of C-USA Championship

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The UAB women's golf team opened the Conference USA Championship with a score of 326 and is in 12th place after the first 18 holes.
The Blazers currently sit seven strokes behind Florida Atlantic with 36 holes left to play.
"Today was a tough day," head coach Kim Wilcox said. "The good thing is everyone played a lot better on the back nine and there is a lot of golf left to play. The next two days should be better."
Kenna Hughes opened the tournament with an 80 (+8) and is tied for 40th. Sydney Snodgrass is just behind Hughes in a tie for 48th with a first round 81 (+9). Kayla Wilbourn shot an 82 (+10) and is tied for 53rd, Maria Donado is tied for 56th after an 83 (+11) and Juliana Sebastian is in 59th overall after shooting an 87 (+15).
UTSA leads the team tournament with an opening round 294 (+6), while Georgiana Blackman of WKU sits atop the individual leaderboard after an opening round 69 (-3).
