Blazers Looking for Top-Five Finish Going Into Final Day

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The UAB women's golf team dropped one spot into fifth place with a team 308 score on the second day of the 'Bama Beach Bash at the Gulf Shores Golf Club on Saturday.

Maria Donado repeated her round one 77 (+5) on day two and sits in a tie for 16th going into the final round.

Kenna Hughes carded an 85 (+13) and is tied for 25th while Sydney Snodgrass turned in an 81 (+9) and is in 31st place.

Juliana Sebastian repeated her day one 80 (+8) and is tied for 32nd. Kayla Wilbourn joined Donado as the only other Blazer to shoot in the 70s and she shot a 79 (+7) and is in 36th overall.

South Alabama looks to be the wire-to-wire winner of the tournament as the Jaguars shot a 286 (-2) on the second day and are 19 strokes ahead of second place Georgia State.

UAB tees off in the final round on Sunday morning off of hole number one at 8:30. The Blazers are paired with fourth place Sothern Illinois and sixth place North Carolina A&T.
