Blazers Travel to Tallahassee for NCAA Regional

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB cross country team continues postseason running when it competes in the NCAA South Regional on Friday morning. The women's 6K is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. from Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla.
UAB is coming off an eighth place finish at the Conference USA Championships on Oct. 27 in Boca Raton, Fla. Laura Thompson led the Blazers with a 28th place finish as she ran a personal best 18:27.85 5K time.
Celestial Moon has been the most consistent runner in the UAB lineup as the Muscle Shoals, Ala., native has led the Blazers in two races thus far. Moon holds four of UAB's top-five race times this season.
