UAB To Host Meet the Team and Reveal Championship Banner

BIRMINGHAM – UAB fans will get their first chance to meet the 2018-19 UAB women's basketball team as well as honor the 2017-18 team that won the Conference USA Regular Season title as their banner will be revealed at the Hoops Season Tipoff Event presented by the UAB Bookstore on Thursday, Oct. 18.
Fans will have the chance to take photos and meet the 2018-19 team at the photo booth on the lawn of Bartow Arena during the Fan Fest at 3 p.m. The event also includes inflatables, food trucks and a DJ.
Doors to Bartow Arena open at 5:30 as the men's basketball team faces Georgia in a preseason charity exhibition game, beginning at 7 p.m. At halftime, the women's team will be introduced before a highlight video and the revealing of the championship banner.
Fan Fest is free, while general admission tickets to the game are $10. Visit the UAB Ticket Office webpage to purchase them.
Season tickets to the 2018-19 women's basketball season are on sale for $65. By purchasing season tickets, fans will receive admission into every home men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball game for the entire season.
