Visintainer Named to CCL All-Star Game

The UAB infielder is one of 54 players selected
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Price Visintainer's strong summer with the San Luis Obispo Blues has led to a distinct honor. Visintainer has been selected to the California Collegiate League (CCL) All-Star Game. The game will be played next Wednesday, July 12 at 7 p.m.
Visintainer has been one of the top batters in the CCL this summer. He leads his team with a .392 average that stands ninth in the league. The Vestavia, Ala., native has played in 18 games with 12 runs, four doubles, one triple, one home run, 10 RBI, five walks and six stolen bases.
Visintainer just completed his first year with the Blazers after transferring from Shelton State CC. He played predominately at third base in his 45 starts across 53 games. Visintainer finished the year with a .288 average, 28 runs, seven doubles, three triples, 17 RBI, 17 walks and one stolen base. The junior hit a team-best .348 in Conference USA play.
The players representing the 14 CCL teams were selected by the CCL team managers and will compete as two teams, the CCL South and the CCL North. The CCL All-Star Game will be played at the MLB Youth Academy in Compton, Calif. Fox Sports West will broadcast the event live to a national audience and replay the broadcast several times regionally in July and August (check your local listings for tune-in instructions).
