JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The UAB men’s tennis team fell to Georgia State, 4-1, at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex Saturday afternoon.
Doubles Action
The Blazers fell on courts two and three in doubles action, to give Georgia State a 1-0 lead in the match. On court one, Tim Dollman and Stefan Gonzalez were in a tight 5-4 match with the Panthers’ top duo.
Singles Action
In singles play, GSU added to their lead with back-to-back wins on courts three and six, but Christian Coetzee remained undefeated as he won on court four, 6-3, 6-3. Coetzee is a perfect 4-0 this season.
On court one, freshman Dollman was battling No. 84 Zackery Kennedy, 6-3, 5-3 while senior Eric Komati was up 6-4, 4-4 on court two.
