BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In honor of playing his final game at Legion Field this coming Saturday, Shaq Jones visited Pizitz Food Hall in downtown Birmingham to thank the fans who have been so supportive during the return of UAB Football.
"Birmingham to me, simply put, is family," Jones said. "I've made great friends here and this is the closest thing I have to home, so Birmingham has been great to me."
Jones and his fellow 14 seniors play their final home game at Legion Field this Saturday at 12 p.m. vs. UTEP. Join Jones and the Blazers as they try to finish 6-0 at home for the first time in program history and look for a record eighth FBS win.
