UAB Returns to Action at the PRC Collegiate Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men's tennis team will close out its fall season with two tournaments in the Birmingham area beginning this weekend as the Blazers get set to compete in the PRC Collegiate Invite in Pelham.

Hosted at the Pelham Racquet Club, the tournament will feature Eastern Kentucky, ETSU, Mercer and host Samford.

Doubles matches on all three days of competition will begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by singles play.

UAB is coming off an impressive showing at the ITA Southern Regional as sophomore Tim Dollman and senior Stefan Gonzalez each advanced to the Round of 16. Junior Kenton Parton also advanced into the main draw after three-straight wins against his opposition in qualifying.

All three will be off this weekend in preparation for the final tournament of the fall.

The Blazers will be led into battle in Pelham by senior Anru Fourie who also competed at the ITA Southern Regional.
