Blazers Complete First Two Rounds of USF Intercollegiate

TAMPA, Fla. – The UAB women's golf team completed the first two rounds of the USF Intercollegiate on Monday and currently sit in 10th place going into the final round.
"The course and weather conditions were difficult," head coach Kim Wilcox said. "The team fought until the last putt dropped. Ericka (Schneider) and I were proud of their diligence."
Maria Donado paced the Blazers with rounds of 77 and 76 in the first 36-holes and is tied for eighth in the competitive field.
Kenna Hughes opened the day with an 80 but improved on the second trip around the course shooting a seven over 79 and is tied for 31st.
Sydney Snodgrass opened with rounds of 81 and 80 and is tied for 39th while Kayla Wilbourn is tied for 50th after rounds of 83 and 82.
Juliana Sebastian improved her round one score by three strokes and is tied for 60th going into the closing 18-holes.
Lynn leads the 14-team field by seven strokes opening with rounds of 304 and 305. Individually, Carolin Schart of Stetson, Tilda Larsson of Barry and Natalia Villavicencio of USF sit in a three-way tie for first place at six-over par.
UAB tees off the third and final round tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. and are paired with Lamar and McNeese State. Fans can catch all of the action on GolfStat.com.
"We are looking to improve tomorrow," Wilcox said.
