Keur Notches Top 20 Finish at Tavistock Collegiate

WINDERMERE, Fla. - Senior R.J. Keur concluded his steady week of play with a top 20 finish at the Tavistock Invitational at Isleworth Country Club.
Entering the final round at -1, Keur shot a one over 73 to finish the tournament at even par and in a tie for 19th with Patrick Martin of Vanderbilt.
As usual, Keur was tremendously consistent all tournament, shooting 71-72-73 for his even par 216. Keur's senior campaign is off to a fantastic start as the southpaw has been at or under par in all three tournaments and has been the team's top finisher in all three outings.
Dylan Meyer of Illinois held onto his two stroke lead to win the tournament at -11 and was followed by Collin Morikawa of Cal (-9), John Axelsen of Florida (-7), Gordon Neale of Florida (-6) and Mason Andersen of Arizona State (-5).
No. 18 Cal stormed back on the final 18 holes to win the team title at -6 as they surpassed rv Illinois and No. 10 Florida who tied for second at -5. No. 11 Vanderbilt (-3) and No. 7 Auburn (E) rounded out the top five.
It is a quick turnaround for the Blazers as UAB participates in the South Alabama Steelwood Collegiate Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28-29 in Loxley, Ala.
SAMFORD COLLEGIATE:
Participating as individuals, John Hayden and Nick Robillard represented UAB at the Samford Collegiate played at Greystone Country Club in Birmingham.
Hayden notched a top five finish with an impressive second day of play which included a three under 69 in the second round. Hayden finished one over the tournament (74-69-74 = 217, +1). Robillard finished in a tie for 28th.
