Blazers Run In The Crimson Classic

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB cross country heads down to Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Friday to compete in the Crimson Classic at Harry Pritchett Running Park.
The women's 6,000 meter run starts at 9:45 a.m. with a field of 31 teams including in-state foes Auburn, Alabama and Samford. Conference opponents Southern Miss and Middle Tennessee will also be competing.
From The Coach's Desk:
"We'll be looking to beat conference foes Southern Miss and Middle Tennessee this weekend," head coach Matt Esche said. "There will be about 20 different teams from the region so it'll be a good region preview for us as well."
Last Time at Alabama:
UAB ran in the Crimson Classic last season, finishing 18th out of 26 teams.
