BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men’s tennis team opens its 2017 spring season this weekend when the Blazers host Lipscomb at the Lakeshore Tennis Center on Saturday.

“We are very excited about our opener against Lipscomb tomorrow," head coach Derek Tarr said "Our players have been working really hard to get ready. Freshmen Tim Dollman, senior Eric Komati and junior transfer Stefan Gonzalez will hopefully make positive impacts tomorrow.”
Last time vs. Lipscomb
Coetzee, on court one, and Komati on court three helped the blazers earn an early advantage over Lipscomb as UAB defeated the Bison in Nashville last season. Komati and Coetzee, on courts two and three in singles, respectively, both defeated their opponent as UAB cruised to a 4-1 victory.
Roster Breakdown
UAB returns six players from last season’s team that made it to the C-USA Championship and welcomes six newcomers to its team this spring. The Blazers’ have experience in their lineup with Christian Coetzee and Eric Komati, who both enter their senior seasons.
