KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UAB men’s soccer team fell to eighth in the latest NSCAA Southeast Regional Rankings. The Blazers stand at 3-2-2 this season.
UAB won in dominant fashion in its Conference USA opener on Saturday night. The Blazers cruised to a 3-0 victory while securing their 100th C-USA victory in school history, the first program to ever reach that mark in league history.
Charlotte remains atop the region with a 4-0-0 record. Fellow C-USA squad New Mexico (5-2-0), which is up from third last week, follows the 49ers.
Florida Gulf Coast (4-2-1) and FIU (3-2-1) rank third and fourth, respectively, received the biggest jumps. FGCU moved up from sixth while FIU was slotted at ninth last week.
North Florida (2-2-2), Kentucky (3-2-1), and the Blazers next opponent, Old Dominion (3-2-1), are the only other teams ahead of UAB, in that order. Lipscomb (4-2-0) and Georgia State (4-3-0) close out the rankings.
The Blazers host the Monarchs at 7 p.m. on Saturday night at BBVA Compass Field.
