BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB Department of Athletics has announced an opportunity for fans to purchase a Gold Card which allows access to six different sports throughout the upcoming year.
The Gold Card provides general admission seating for every volleyball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s basketball, baseball and softball game played at UAB during 2016-17 season, a total of over 100 games and matches.
A single admission Gold Card is $65, while a dual admission card can be purchased for $120, admission for three is $165, and a 4-pack of Gold Cards is $200. Fans who purchase a Gold Card will be given a membership card they show to gain admission into each specific event.
“We are extremely excited to announce the availability of the Gold Card for those who want to support all Blazer sports,” Director of Athletics Mark Ingram said. “Our goal is to provide fans with a first-class experience, at an affordable price, when they attend a sporting event at UAB and the Gold Card is a tremendous way to follow Blazer Athletics throughout the entire season.”
Additionally, Gold Card holders will receive perks and special access throughout the year for other sporting events.
The Gold Card is also a 2016 Blazer Boosters membership benefit for annual fund donors who contribute at the $500 Gold Level and above. For Blazer Boosters members who qualify, four individual Gold Cards will be sent to the primary account holder.
The Blazer men’s soccer team plays the first home event of the season with an exhibition game vs. Auburn University Montgomery this Tuesday, August 16, at BBVA Compass Field.
The women’s soccer team begins home action on Friday, August 19, with its regular season opener against Austin Peay at 7 p.m. Volleyball’s first home match comes on Sept. 2 vs. NC Central.
Fans can purchase a Gold Card at the UAB Athletics Ticket Office located at Bartow Arena, or by calling 205-975-UAB1.
