Men's Golf Update: Robert Kepler Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Taylor Eyster paces the field and the UAB men's golf team is currently tied for third with Michigan State at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ohio.
"Taylor played superbly," head coach Alan Murray said. "He shot a 70 and one of the finest rounds of golf I have seen from a Blazer."
The sophomore is one-under after one round of play, shooting a career-best 70 on the day.
Senior Will Cannon is tied for fourth after one round. Cannon shot a 72 in his first round to put him one over par.
"Good performance from the guys today," Murray said. "This golf course is tough on a normal day, but factor in the temperature being in the 30s and feeling colder - it snowed throughout the day - it's all you can handle."
