FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The UAB men's golf team is currently seventh at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee, at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The Blazers shot 287 in the first round and 302 in the second to land them at 18-over.

Sophomore Lee Hodges shot a team-best 70 in the first round and a 75 in the second to put him in a tie for 15th at three-over. Martin Rohwer and Taylor Eyster both stand tied for 28th at five-over.

"We played through some tough conditions with the wind on a really excellent golf course today," head coach Alan Murray said. "We played a good opening round, shooting three-over. Lee Hodges had a 70, and Martin Rohwer shot a superb 71 despite starting with three bogeys. In the second round, we just struggled as a whole. We made too many mistakes that cost us. The wind was strong this afternoon, and we didn't hit enough good shots as a team to be able to score better. We need to play well tomorrow and try to climb up the leaderboard."
