Men's Golf Update: John Hayt Collegiate Invitational

The Hayt - Day Two Results

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - The UAB men's golf team is currently in 5th place at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., at the Sawgrass Country Club, jumping five spots from its Round 1 finish.
The Blazers shot 289 in today's second round. UAB is +20 after shooting 307 in the first round. Oklahoma State moved from third to first in the second round after recording a tournament-best 281.
Martin Rohwer shot a 68 to move up to fourth place from T26. Will Cannon continued his steady play with a 73 to stay tied at nine, and Lee Hodges jumped from T33 to T14 with a second-round 71.
"The guys played excellent today," head coach Alan Murray said. "Martin shot a superb -4, and Will made back-to-back birdies which was huge for the team. It's a really tight leaderboard so we have to play well tomorrow."
The teams begin teeing off at 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning to begin its third round. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
