BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - In honor of Veterans Day, the UAB Department of Athletics has partnered with Operation Hat Trick to help generate awareness, support and funding for the recovery of America's wounded service members and veterans.
The Blazers join a long list of sports teams in this initiative, which includes schools from all 50 states and the National Hockey League (NHL).
UAB branded Operation Hat Trick hats will be available inside Bartow Arena on Friday night when the Blazers host Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 7 p.m., as well as at the UAB bookstore, which is located across from Bartow Arena on 14th Street.
In 2015 alone, Operation Hat Trick raised over $1.9 million in wholesale. OHT donates 90 percent of all royalties to organizations that support the recovery of wounded service members and veterans.
