UAB Rifle Finished Third in Weekend Competition

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The UAB rifle team featured eight shooters with scores over 500 and finished third overall Saturday at The Citadel from the Citadel Marksmanship Center.
Freshman Lilly Vonderau paced the Blazers in the air rifle division by being the overall top scorer with a 579 mark, highlighted by a perfect stage in the fifth round.
Selina Curren finished second on the team in the air rifle with a score of 563 and finished fourth overall in the smallbore with a 555 mark.
Sarah Grace Banks took third on the team with her score of 562, while Kristie Lloyd was next with a score of 557.
UAB heads to Dahlonega, Ga., Saturday, Oct. 22 to face North Georgia.
