UAB Women's Soccer Announces Promotional Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Numerous season-long and special event promotions have been scheduled for the 2015 women's soccer season, the UAB athletics department released Thursday.
The Blazers will open their 2015 home slate Sunday, Aug. 30 vs. Memphis at 7 p.m. at West Campus Field. The schedule features eight home matches, including five home contests within Conference USA play.
Sunday, Aug. 30 will be a welcome back for students in a Blazer Bash. The UAB men's soccer team will face Stetson in a match prior to the women's matchup vs. Memphis. Students will have the chance to win prizes, ride the mechanical bull and enjoy free food.
Buffs will be given away on Sept. 4 vs. Coastal Carolina to the first 250 fans, before the women take part in UAB men's soccer's 18th Annual "Soccer for a Cure" Classic a week later. The Blazers will play host to Louisville on Friday, Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Jersey night is on tap for the Sept. 27 game vs. Middle Tennessee, as fans wearing soccer jerseys will receive free admission to the match.
UAB women's soccer's "Kicking for a Cure" event will be held Friday, Oct. 2 vs. Louisiana Tech. Raffle tickets will be available at the match and all money will directly support the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Oct. 9-11 will be featured as family weekend for UAB women's soccer, as a special $10 Family Four Pack (two adults, two youth) will be available for the matches vs. Marshall and WKU. Team autographs will be available after Friday night's game.
The 2015 regular season slate and promotional schedule wraps up Friday, Oct. 30 vs. Southern Miss on Senior Night. UAB's four seniors - Ashley Naumoff, Angelica Jimenez, Paige Hanks, Alanna Dineen and Kasey Johnson - will be honored in the final home contest of the season.
Single game ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for youth. Children ages five and under receive free admission throughout the 2015 season. UAB students will also receive free admission with a valid student ID, and the group rate will run $3 per ticket with a purchase of 10 or more. Fans can also purchase season tickets for $30 each, and all tickets can be ordered through the UAB ticket office at UABSports.com, or by calling 205-975-8221.
