Anna Milwee Named UAB Softball Director of Operations

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Anna Milwee, who previously worked within the UAB ticket office, has been name UAB softball’s Director of Operations, head coach Marla Townsend announced Monday.
“I am extremely excited to name Anna Milwee to our director of operations position,” said Townsend. “Anna is a true Blazer and wants to be here at UAB. She brings a strong passion to our softball staff and understands that it is all about our student-athletes.”
Milwee has been with UAB athletics since August 2014 where she served as a ticket office assistant over the last year. Within the position, Milwee assisted in travel coordination for select away events, provided customer service to UAB ticketholders and handled ticket sales and ordering management amongst other duties.
Prior to UAB, Milwee served as a game operations and event management intern at Tulane University. At Tulane, Milwee assisted with event management for all home athletic events, tracked daily expenses of the athletic department and managed the Tulane event staff.
Milwee also served as a ticket office assistant at the University of North Alabama as a student worker. While at North Alabama, she designed season tickets for various sports, managed student and volunteer workers and prepared online ordering systems for ticket services.
The Boaz, Ala., native graduated from North Alabama in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a minor in marketing.
Milwee will oversee all logistical aspects of the UAB softball program, including team travel, coordinating contracts with Nike and Wilson, organizing both fall and summer camps for the Blazers among other day-to-day operations for the program.
