BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB athletics media relations department is currently seeking student assistants for the upcoming 2015-16 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in working in public relations and/or in the sports industry.
As a student assistant, you will assist the media relations department in the promotion of UAB's athletic teams. This includes writing press releases and feature stories, website updates to UABSports.com, social media functions and statistical and historical updates. Student assistants will also assist the department during game days of various UAB athletic events.
