The inning's final run was accounted for on a throwing error on a Demi Turner bunt single, allowing Alabama's lead runner to score from second.
The Crimson Tide followed with six runs in the second inning to take a 13-0 lead. The Crimson Tide led off by loading the bases, and Runyon drove each baserunner in on a double to right center. Subsequent doubles by Danielle Richard and Fain each plated a runner, while the inning's final run was scored on a Chandler Dare sacrifice fly.
