Blazers, Trojans Clash In Troy Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB baseball opens a four-game road swing Tuesday when it travels to Troy to face the Trojans at Riddle-Pace Field at 6 p.m.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at Regions Field, but due to projected inclement weather, the two games in the series will be swapped, meaning UAB's game vs. Troy on April 7 will now be played in Birmingham at Young Memorial Field.

Series History
The Blazers and Trojans meet for the 45th time on Tuesday, a series that dates all the way back to the Blazers' inaugural season in 1979.
UAB enters the contest with a 24-20 advantage in the series. The two teams met last year at Regions Field, as Troy defeated the Green and Gold, 7-2, snapping the Blazers' six-game win streak in the series.
Scouting The Opponent
Troy enters Tuesday's contest on a six-game losing skid with an overall mark of 7-8 on the young 2015 season. The Trojans were picked to finish fifth according to the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Poll. Sophomore RHP Marc Skinner and senior DH David Hall were both named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team.
The Trojans have fared well within the confines of Riddle-Pace Field with a 5-3 home record. Troy took 3-of-4 from Northwestern State to begin the campaign, before winning two games in Pensacola at the Cox Diamond Invitational. The Trojans have split their last four home games, with wins against Samford and Southern Miss, and two losses vs. the Golden Eagles.
Trevin Hall leads the way offensively for the Trojans with 20 hits and a .400 batting average. He and Logan Hill each have three home runs, while David Hall leads the way with 12 RBI. Clay Holcomb leads the squad in runs scored and is a perfect 8-for-8 in stolen bases.
The Trojans carry a cumulative 3.55 ERA into Tuesday's contest, led by Lucas Brown's 2.08 mark in six appearances.
Matt Morse Reached Safely In 27-Straight Games
Redshirt senior second baseman Matt Morse has reached safely in 27-straight games. The Sandwich, Ill. native has reached safely in every game he's played in this season, and takes a streak into Tuesday that dates back to March 30, 2014.
