Belles & Whistles Dinner Scheduled for April 16

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- Blazer Boosters will host the annual Belles & Whistles event, a celebration and fundraiser, on Thursday, April 16. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the Bartow Arena floor. Funds raised from this event will be utilized to support UAB women's athletics programs.
Derita Ratcliffe, UAB's Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator, will highlight recent accomplishments from UAB female student-athletes during this past academic year. In addition, former UAB student-athletes Jennifer Morthland and TaRonda Randall, current sand volleyball student-athlete Ann Mae Messisco, as well as UAB women's basketball head coach Randy Norton will address the crowd.
Lauren Sisler, a former Rutgers's gymnast and current sports reporter at WIAT 42 in Birmingham, will serve as the event's Master of Ceremonies. Lenora Pate, a lawyer with Sirote & Permutt, P.C. and graduate of UAB will emcee.
Individual seats to the event can be purchased for $100 and reserved table packages start at $850. Those unable to attend the April 16th event are encouraged to purchase a table or ticket for student-athletes or to make a general contribution.
