BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB men's tennis team won five of six singles matches Sunday en route to a 5-1 victory over visiting Lipscomb.
The teams bypassed doubles and played singles first. With the Blazers clinching the match in singles, play was halted at the Lakeshore Tennis Center.
The Blazers (5-5) won at the No. 2-6 singles positions. Donovan McSeveney, Christian Coetze, Luiz Felipe Pinto, Stepan Vancurik and Christopher Egan-Morriss were all winners on Sunday with all posting victories in straight sets.
UAB played its first match since last weekend when it split road matches at Furman and Conference USA foe Charlotte. The Bisons (8-6) also had gone a week without a match, last defeating Ball State on March 7.
