BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's basketball team returns to Bartow Arena on Friday to take on Troy. Gametime is set for 7 p.m.
The Blazers are looking to win their 11th straight home game dating back to last season.
Blazer Bullets
- The Blazers are 6-2 all-time against Troy. The two teams last met on Dec. 20, 2002, when Troy won by a score of 55-54.
- Kayla Anderson recorded her 126th block Sunday at South Alabama to break Deanna Jackson's record for the most blocked shots in program history.
- In its three home games this season, UAB has outscored opponents 233-103.
- The Blazers are holding opponents to 54.1 points per game, the fewest in Conference USA.
- Brittany Winborne is currently second in C-USA in rebounding with 9.2 per game.

Last Time Out
UAB picked up its third consecutive win with a 53-39 victory over South Alabama on Sunday. Deanna Kuzmanic scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Blazers. Brittany Winborne controlled the paint with 12 points and 15 rebounds, her second double-double of the season.
Scouting the Opponent
Troy is coming off a 73-49 victory over Alabama State on Tuesday. The Trojans are averaging 86.1 points per game, which is currently fifth-highest in the nation. Troy is paced on offense by senior guard Ashley Beverly Kelley, who is averaging 18.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
Anderson's Block Party
Kayla Anderson, who set the UAB single-season record with 56 blocks as a sophomore, has already recorded 10 blocks on the season to pass Deanna Jackson for the most blocks in program history (126).
Diaper Dandy
Freshman guard Deanna Kuzmanic leads the Blazers in scoring with 12.6 points per game. Kuzmanic is shooting 39.1 percent from beyond the arc and has a team-high 22 triples.
Defensive Dominates
UAB has played tenacious defense through nine games. The Blazers are holding opponents to a conference-low 54.1 points per game. The Blazers have also enjoyed success on the glass, as they lead the league in defensive rebounds (32.0) and rebounding margin (+11.4).
Conference USA Tournament Back In Birmingham
The Conference USA Men's and Women's Basketball Championship is set to return to Birmingham for the second consecutive year, marking the third time the Blazers will host the event. The men's tournament as well as the women's semifinals and championship will be played at the Legacy Arena in downtown Birmingham, while the women's first round and quarterfinal action will take place at UAB's Bartow Arena.
