"We are looking forward to the tournament," said head coach Alan Murray. "Its one of the most picturesque golf courses you are likely to play. Not being distracted by everything around you here is a challenge."
The Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational will feature eight of the top 75 ranked teams in the country, Alabama (11), San Diego (21), Louisville (32), Wake Forest (40), San Francisco (42), Pepperdine (58), Colorado State (68) and Idaho (75). Ole Miss, Cal Poly, ETSU, Hawai`i "A", Hawai`i "B", McNeese State, St. Mary's and UMKC will round out the rest of the field.
"The golf course will give you plenty of birdie opportunities if there is no wind," said Murray. "The boys have looked good in practice and are excited to get going. If you hit good shots then you will be able to score well so its just a matter of making sure we hit good shots."
The Blazers head into the final fall season tournament hoping to build off an impressive 15-shot victory at The Shoal Creek Invitational Hosted by Graeme McDowell.
Leading the way for The Green and Gold is sophomore Lee Hodges. Hodges broke through to earn his first career collegiate individual title at The Shoal Creek Invitational Hosted by Graeme McDowell. Also in the field for the Blazers is Taylor Eyster, Will Cannon, Tim Harry and Martin Rohwer.
All three days of competition will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (HST). Live stats for The Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational can be found at www.GolfStatResult.com
