BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 2014 UAB Fall Instructional Camp (FIC) games are set to begin in early September following Labor Day, with all games slated to take place at Young Memorial Field. The league is intended for those who plan to play on their high school's varsity, junior varsity, or freshmen baseball team.
UAB FIC consists of 16 teams with approximately 12 players per roster. Registration fee for the league is $220, which pays for game t-shirts, helmet usage, baseballs, umpires, instructions, use of facilities, and secondary insurance coverage.
Prior to the first day of games, UAB FIC will hold a pitching and catching mini-camp on Monday, Aug. 25 and an infield and outfield mini-camp on Tuesday, Aug. 26. Campers are welcome to attend both events.
Registering early for the UAB FIC is strongly encouraged. Registering before the mini-camps will give you the best chance of being assigned a position in the Fall League.
All camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.
