Dunne Set For The 2014 Open Championship

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Rising senior Paul Dunne of the UAB men’s golf team will begin play at The 2014 Open Championship on Thursday at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Merseyside, England.
Dunne is one of four amateurs that will participate in golf’s oldest major. The Greystones, Ireland native is looking to take home the Silver Medal, which is awarded to the low amateur, provided they complete all 72 holes.
The 2014 Third Team All-American has continued where he left off at the end of the 2014 collegiate men’s golf season. Dunne helped Team Europe to a victory at the 2014 Palmer Cup. He then earned individual medalist honors at the Woburn final qualifying to earn a spot at The Open Championship.
The 2014 Open Championship begins on Thursday morning. Live coverage will begin at 3:00 a.m. CT on ESPN. All four rounds will be broadcast on ESPN.
