Lueck Is The UAB Student-Athlete Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore Margaret Lueck of the UAB rifle team is the UAB Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced on Wednesday. The UAB Student-Athlete of the Week recognizes Blazer student-athletes who excel on and off their respective fields of competition.
Lueck and the UAB rifle team will compete in the SEARC Championships on Saturday, March 8 in Charleston, S.C. This marks the squad’s final event of the 2013-14 season.
In the team’s last event, UAB competed in the NCAA rifle sectionals. Lueck led the Blazers to a seventh-place finish after firing a career-best score of 558.
In the classroom, Lueck is a standout, as well. The health related programs major owns a 3.77 cumulative GPA. She earned 2012-13 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Conference USA Academic Medal accolades, as well.
