Men's Tennis Travels To No. 28 Auburn Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB's men's tennis team will venture on the road Tuesday for a tough early-season challenge as the Blazers head to Auburn to take on the No. 28-ranked Tigers. The match is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. CT start.
UAB (1-1) evened its record on the season Sunday with a convincing 7-0 win over visiting North Alabama. The Blazers swept all six singles matches and won at 2-of-3 doubles positions for the win over the Lions.
The match with Auburn will be UAB's second against a ranked opponent in three matches this season. The Blazers dropped a 4-1 decision to then No. 33-ranked Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 18.
Auburn has had a busy schedule thus far, having already played seven matches. The Tigers will enter Tuesday's match with a 6-1 record and are coming off Saturday victories over Alabama A&M (7-0) and Davidson (5-2).
UAB's match at Auburn will be the first of three this week for the Blazers. They will before head to Rock Hill, S.C. this weekend for a pair of matchups. UAB will play at host Winthrop on Saturday, Feb. 8 in a 2:30 dual before going against Conference USA foe Charlotte Sunday, Feb. 9 (1:00 p.m.).
