Cody Clements Named To C-USA All-Academic Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB football junior quarterback Cody Clements has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league office announced Thursday.
Clements earned a place on the league's academic list after maintaining a 3.35 GPA majoring in communications at UAB.
The Whittier, Calif. native finished the 2014 regular season with a 66.5 percent completion percentage, which ranks 13th in the nation. He also ranks No. 22 nationally in passing efficiency at 145.6.
In his first year with the Green and Gold, he helped lead the Blazers to a 6-6 record, earning the squad bowl eligibility for the first time since the 2004 season. In 11 games he tallied 2,227 yards passing with 14 touchdowns and also rushed for four scores.
