Blazers Taking One Game At A Time As FAU Approaches

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- Due to a rainy Tuesday night in the Birmingham area, head coach Bill Clark and the UAB football team moved their Wednesday practice to Legion Field as the squad prepares for its game at Florida Atlantic on Saturday.
Both FAU and UAB stand at 2-2 in Conference USA action through four games and have plenty to play for as the season begins to wind down. According to Clark, the Blazers are only focusing on the next opponent as the matchup with the Owls approaches.
"I think we have to take one game at a time," Clark said. "We are just ready to get back to conference play and get ready for the next one. We have a lot of goals in reach, we can see it and we can taste it, but this game is the next one and the most important."
On Wednesday, UAB continued its preparations for FAU with a workout at Legion Field. The Blazers donned full pads for the final time before Saturday's 6 p.m. CT kickoff at FAU Stadium.
"It is always good to get over here to Legion Field," Clark said. "It is quiet and we can get over here to ourselves, and it is good anytime you can get out on your home field and get a lot of work in. On Wednesday, we still have pads on so we are touching up on the last physical part of it. It should always be clean on Wednesday and by Thursday we should be game ready."
Saturday's game will be televised by the American Sports Network (ASN) with Ron Thulin (play-by-play) and Keith Moreland (analyst) on the call. Fans can also listen to the game on the Blazer IMG Sports Network with David Crane (play-by-play), Steve Irvine (analyst) and Sam Miller (sideline) calling the action. Fans can listen to the game locally on WUHT-FM 107.7.
